After installing the FreeBSD on my hard drive I can't load to Grub2 and use my Arch Linux. So, as you can see 0000 is Arch and he gotta be first but loads FreeBSD. Help me please! reddit / freebsd ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2020-10-11 19:11 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- whitepixe1 · 2020-10-11 19:34 You may wish to use rEFInd to boot Linux instead of GRUB2 linuxism to boot FreeBSD ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Xerxero · 2020-10-11 19:37 Same disk? I would for now run a arch live image and fix grub. After that use grub to start FreeBSD If possible use multiple disk. So each of has a single disk and select them via efi. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LambLeeg · 2020-10-11 19:50 That's the problem cuz I have love sd with FreeBSD that I installed, so, I just can't boot in Linux ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LambLeeg · 2020-10-11 19:51 Does rEFInd can see Linux and FreeBSD from out of the box? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- whitepixe1 · 2020-10-11 20:16 Out of the box ... no. You have to install manually rEFInd. Check at the instructions here, [https://gist.github.com/zeising/5d240 2d92b4cf421c7402d663b2d9e41](https://gist.github.com/zeising/5d2402d92 b4cf421c7402d663b2d9e41) but download the latest 0.12 version in the link from sourceforge. Instructions provided are much more simple than those at the ArchLinux equivalent WiKi. I had similar situation in the past and problems with GRUB2 and FreeBSD on ZFS partition. Although problem was solved with GRUB2 I found out that rEFInd is simpler to install and maintain, and more hussle-free than GRUB2. Now I happily tripple boot FreeBSD-Linux-Windows with it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LambLeeg · 2020-10-11 20:47 Thanks, I'll will try it tomorrow cuz it's night time here :D
