I just installed FreeBSD today, (my first time running BSD) and still
find a way for my USB DAC to work (Schiit Modi 3). Thankfully I found
this. 😻

There's a simpler? way to terminate the programs using the device

    sig=15
    while [ "$( fuser -ks$sig /dev/dsp3* 2>/dev/null )" ]
    do
        echo sent $sig
        sleep 1
        sig=9
    done

No practical difference, just esthetics. Maybe even simpler ways?
