Thanks in advance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- FUZxxl · 2020-07-29 17:06 It would help if you were to use a more descriptive title. That said, plain X11 with `twm` doesn't. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nawcom · 2020-07-29 20:49 you don't need to use complete desktop environments if you don't want to. Fluxbox is a very minimal window manager with a task bar and a right-click menu you can access for launching apps and configuring things. Openbox is more customizable but if you want a setup that's ready to go, and the menu config file being simple to edit, then try Fluxbox first. I'm also a fan of awesome WM. There are also tiling window managers like i3 which are a different way of handling windows, if you ever want to get into that. There are a number of other ones you can try as well. Just google. You don't need a desktop environment equivalent to GNOME, KDE or Xfce for a good X11 experience. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- m416415 · 2020-07-31 10:18 Finally it works! And it was actually really simple! Fallowed by various tutorials I overcomplicated things. Thanks to all!
