Not one to use frequently (changing default macOS apps), but when you

Nice; I really like these `dwim` posts!

I had a Mac for my summer internship (don't have it any more to
debug), but on the Mac, I couldn't get Emacs to consistently open
files in GIMP, which I did set as the default image program. Any ideas
as to why?

Sorry, nope. The new function seems to work consistently, though I
need to give it more time and see if I run into issues.
