Error when exporting to tex from orgmode reddit / emacs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- paarulakan · 2022-10-06 10:22 I am using orgmode to author a paper for the first time. Citation is giving me a lot headaches. `main.bib` contains the references in bibtex format. [paper.org](https://paper.org) contains citations like this `Lecun et al.cite:lecun1998` $ ls -1 paper.org main.bib At the very end of [paper.org](https://paper.org) #+BIBLIOGRAPHY: main plain #+CITE_EXPORT: biblatex #+print_bibliography: When I do `C-c C-e l l` I get the following error. When I use basic, the export successfully happens but there are no citations present in the tex file produced. `cite:lecun1998` remain as such instead of `\cite{lecun1998}` as expected I suppose with `basic` setting. org-cite-store-export-processor: Unknown processor biblatex it used to work in emacs 27.1 but in the latest version it is not working. GNU Emacs 28.2 (build 2, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 3.24.20, cairo version 1.16.0) of 2022-09-16 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- yantar92 · 2022-10-06 11:38 You need to explicitly `(require 'oc-biblate)` if you are using stable version of Org. It will no lonfer be needed in the next release. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- attento_redaz · 2022-10-06 17:31 Note that `cite:lecun1998` is not a valid org-cite citation, its minimal org-cite version would be `[cite:@lecun1998]`. See the [manual](https://orgmode.org/manual/Citations.html#Citations) for details. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- alessandrobertulli · 2022-10-07 08:42 Yes, and to make it more comfortable there are packages that handle those for you. I use Citar, but there are for instance also `helm- biblatex` and `ivy-biblatex` (iirc) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- paarulakan · 2022-10-08 10:43 I am using org-ref. It used to work in other machine :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- attento_redaz · 2022-10-08 12:09 The problem is that none of the keywords >\#+BIBLIOGRAPHY: main plain \#+CITE\_EXPORT: biblatex \#+print\_bibliography: you are using at the end of your paper are for `org-ref` -- you are mixing `org-cite` keywords and `org-ref` (actually, legacy `org-ref v2`) citations. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- paarulakan · 2022-10-09 07:23 Weirdly it worked without org-cite. it is still working in fact.
