Has anyone considered making a TikTok for Emacs tutorials? reddit / emacs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2022-09-15 00:26 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nv-elisp · 2022-09-15 00:29 why do you need internet strangers to research or approve your idea? Just do it if you want to. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2022-09-15 00:44 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MitchellMarquez42 · 2022-09-15 00:45 I personally wouldn't touch Tiktok with a `most-positive-fixnum`-foot pole, but it's a good idea. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CochinoChingon · 2022-09-15 00:47 I'm just a prose writer/script kiddie (I can change `path/to/match/my/system`) I'd like to be able to create yaml formatted blog posts with org templates. But in a specific directory (outside of `path/to/org/dir`) Anywho, I'd follow your emacs TikTok ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JohnathanDee · 2022-09-15 01:00 We don't use it either ---------------------------------------------------------------------- timmymayes · 2022-09-15 01:24 No but I'm a big fan of The Primagen and his vim advocacy. He knows that vim and CLI stuff is useful and fun and he does a good job showcasing the power of the editor and getting people hyped. I think the emacs rocks stuff is the closest we have and I wish we had more, esp for vanilla emacs users. Maybe I'll take up the mantel one day if I ever become a power user. Probably not though. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2022-09-15 01:25 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tangonov · 2022-09-15 02:11 Installing TikTok is a bad idea for many reasons all of which are aside from the fact that I am sure no one wants to hear my heavy breathing and beard scratching as I talk about the finer points of org-roam
