Using --time-style in dired-listing-switches seems to break diredfl face binding reddit / emacs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TiMueller · 2022-05-24 08:14 Am I doing something wrong? After using --time-style, the face of the time in my dired file listing changed, the numbers now look like the ones for the file size. C-u C-x = on time/date doesn't show diredfl- date-time anymore, but diredfl-number instead. How can I set a different time-style and keep the face binding to diredfl-date-time? This is the command I use: (setq dired-listing-switches "-laGgh1v --group-directories-first --time-style +%d.%m.%Y") Thank you very much for any help or advice! Since you change the display, the regexp does not match anymore. AFAICT, it matches ISO style date and "western style"? IDK, take a look at the comments. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TiMueller · 2022-05-24 15:10 Thank you very much! Now I understand why it doesn't work. I just couldn't find it and was trying and trying. Feels much better to know now. I wish I could read (and understand) elisp code better, but I will learn ... It's great you are helping non-programmer guys like me around here. Makes me love Emacs even more. Cheers!
