pcboard or wildcat multi-node reddit / bbs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jonblaze02302 · 2023-11-26 01:14 Anyone have a multi node version of wildcat or pc board they could share? Im looking to setup a multi dial in nodes for one of these. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- YserviusPalacost · 2023-11-26 11:31 Not I. Wildcat, eh? My Fidonet uplink was running Wildcat! It was probably the first board I really started spending time on. Isn't wildcat still maintained? If you're serious, then I'd look into paying for a licensed version. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ruodokas · 2023-11-26 11:45 [archives.scovetta.com](https://archive.scovetta.com) has you covered. /pub/BBS/BBS\_Software/DOS/PCBOARD/ to be exact. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- orcus · 2023-11-26 18:55 I believe technically the Windows version is still maintained in some capacity. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- aztracker1 · 2023-11-27 07:47 Are there reasons to limit yourself to pcboard and wildcat? I'd suggest using a modem BBS software and a dialup to telnet gateway like SexPOTS. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pvre2001 · 2023-12-21 00:42 I have a Sys/x (it uses pcboard "@X" ansi files format) way more rad/elite than pcb or wildcat. It's a 5 nodes setup. Interested? Only on the condition you'll use 0 visuals from it (you must create all new .pcb files). Ran it for years on a laptop. Only problem, it doesn't run PPEs like PCB, but it runs any .exe door via doorway.
