Any way to provide a BBS and Forum that have post-parity?

Like, are there any bridging utilities to where I can have Enigma BBS
and have the sub-boards translate to like, a myPhpBB forum? Have the
same accounts used and have everything cross-posted over. Basically I
want a BBS and a normal internet forum available for posters.

Is this possible? Has it ever been done before?

I've never heard of anyone doing this, but it shouldn't be too
difficult, especially if they're on the same server.

My first thought is always, "What do I have to do to accomplish this?"

At first, I am thinking custom SQL calls and code on both ends,
however, on second thought, maybe just some custom code on the PHP for
side to support a known BBS mail transport protocol, like QWK.

As far as anything already packaged and ready to use...I don't know.

Synchronet exposes their forum to the included we b interface, it
isn't pretty or, easy to use but, is avaliable.  If you wanted to use
a modern forum, you just needvto schedule a sync between the two
databases. Which is easier said than done, esp with phpbb.

I've worked with phpbb to extend the login and post and message
ability to my ssp.net website, not impossible but, it took awhile to
get everything right.

I've been curious about writing a QWK to phpBB gateway, altho I don't
know if I get around to it, and I don't have any experience running a
message net. The QWK export/import is an already solved problem on the
BBS side and the QWK format is documented. The bulk of the work seems
it would be on the forum side to insert the messages into the
database, keep track of what to send back, prevent dupes, etc.

I am working on something like this with my Amiga BBS.  Slightly more
difficult because I had to reverse engineer the message base format. I
am making it a one way thing though. So you type a message on the BBS
and it will publish to the web. I want to do this to encourage people
to post on the BBS rather than via the web and just use the web as a
nice presentation of the message bases for fun.

I am cheating a bit… I read the Zeus message base files directly off
the emulated Amiga HDD and process them using Golang and write out to
the web frontend using HTMX
