I recently discovered something that I believe will resonate with this
group. SlyChips, a site known for their video poker games, has created
a terminal version that channels the classic BBS experience. You can
play VIDEO POKER directly through Telnet, combining the thrill of
poker with the nostalgia of text-based interfaces.

What's fascinating is that it's more than a mere gimmick; they've
actually employed the same engine used in their standard graphical
version at [**www.slychips.com**](http://www.slychips.com/). This
ensures a seamless and engaging gameplay experience, even in the
terminal environment.

You can explore this unique gaming option via telnet at
terminal.slychips.com
port 23, or if you prefer a web-based approach, check out
[**terminal.slychips.com**](http://terminal.slychips.com/).

For those of us who appreciate the charm and simplicity of BBS, this
is a refreshing twist on a modern game. It's a must-try for anyone
looking to relive the golden era of BBS and enjoy some video poker at
the same time.

Give it a shot, and share your thoughts! Happy gaming!

Strangely amusing.

Very simple game. Unfortunately it doesn't work with real BBS
terminal programs such as Zoc, MuffinTerm, or Icy Term.
