Free BBS Door Games reddit / bbs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Otherwise-Willow6904 · 2022-12-19 04:43 I've been compiling a list of free (or cracked) BBS door games. I am thoroughly amazed at how many games were released as freeware. I'd like to try to install the games on my BBS before I post them all. Some games just don't work, no reason to post them. I've got 40 available so far, but I bet there is another 100 (if not more) I'll be putting up for download over time. You can find the list on my website: [bbs.foolsquarter.com](https://bbs.foolsquarter.com) It will grow as time goes on. I have many key generators and such. It's awesome and I hope this is my contribution to the BBS community. Enjoy! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ericfresh442 · 2022-12-19 05:11 I was all about Trade Wars back in the day. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Otherwise-Willow6904 · 2022-12-19 05:21 There are many, including mine, BBS's with TW online. That is one of the few games still supported. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ten-oh-four · 2022-12-19 08:42 Thanks for this! After Doug Rhea passed (RIP) I've been trying to track down all the doors he had. Shame the content wasn't recovered, sadly looks like all those games will be lost to eternity. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2022-12-19 17:50 [deleted] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- codefenix · 2022-12-19 20:28 Both of those appear to be MajorBBS modules, not doors. They'll probably be a little tougher to find running anywhere since they're exclusive to MajorBBS. Even harder to obtain registrations, sadly, for the same reason. Here's some info though: * [iNfInItY CoMpLeX at the Major BBS Emulation project site](https://wiki.mbbsemu.com/doku.php?id=modules:elwic) * [Kyrandia on Break Into Chat BBS Wiki](https://breakintochat.com/wiki/Kyrandia_(Major_BBS)) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- codefenix · 2022-12-19 20:33 Some BBSes have a site rip of BBSFiles, and have all the files available to download. Looks like Vert has them: http://vert.synchro.net/?page=002-files.xjs&library=1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wndrbr3d · 2022-12-20 02:40 If you need help cracking anything "abandonware", drop me a line. I have some experience in that area. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- izzo34 · 2022-12-20 04:33 Would you happen to have a TriBBS key or keygen? The website is long gone and the previous owners email does not work. I had emailed him about 12 years ago and he gave me a key for it but I have since lost it. I have a couple versions of wildcat for dos and even wildcat 5 for windows with a key and stuff but want to mess around with tribbs. It was my first bbs before switching over to desqview and running a 4 node wildcat ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Otherwise-Willow6904 · 2022-12-20 04:43 There is one in BINK archives. I have it if you'd like me to send it to you. I believe it's for version 5.02. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- izzo34 · 2022-12-20 13:40 For sure! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- izzo34 · 2022-12-20 13:40 For sure! Would not mind giving it a whirl ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wndrbr3d · 2022-12-22 19:01 While people have mirrored his binary archives, the registration routines and source code for these games seem to have been lost along with him. Very sad for the community. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- codefenix · 2022-12-23 12:13 True. There are still plenty of others that include "free copy" keys and don't need key generators. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Otherwise-Willow6904 · 2022-12-31 04:32 I have about 80 doors games available so far. I'm still working on some of them. Some don't run correctly as far as I can tell. I'm playing with them and see what I can do. Again, you can find the door games I have available at [bbs.foolsquarter.com](https://bbs.foolsquarter.com). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Otherwise-Willow6904 · 2023-06-04 18:22 I am still working on compiling the list of BBS door games. It does take a lot of time and with the nice weather lately it is harder to set in front of the computer... I was hoping to be able to post a PDF of the available files, but seems only pictures are allowed. I have around 200 games available. Enough to set up a great gaming BBS. This stuff is found all over the Internet if you look or are lucky. I still have quite a few to add to the list. I want to check it one out first. You can find them at: [bbs.foolsquarter.com](https://bbs.foolsquarter.com) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ricksanchezz2600 · 2023-07-25 13:08 Tradewars is still available: [https://www.tradewars.com/default.html] (https://www.tradewars.com/default.html) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [deleted] · 2023-08-01 01:56 [removed] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BillyDaBob421 · 2023-09-26 23:53 This is amazing. I'm just discovering the world of BBS games and I can't wait to logon, thanks a ton !!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MisredKimmy · 2023-12-09 15:55 [https://legendreddragon.net/](https://legendreddragon.net/) It has saved my sanity in 2023
