In new mode you can max out your armor fairly early on, so your defensive capabilities plateau pretty quickly, unless you spend all your wishing well wishes on defense, or rely on mixed drinks at Orbs for stat-ups. My armor is about #207 out of #218, so I'm thinking that has got to be close enough, and I've tried to always use wishing well wishes on defence. My weapon isn't very high, though, although I feel like I die so fast that it doesn't make a difference. Hmm... maybe Orbs it is. If you come up with a cocktail that seems to give a nice boost, you get the option to save it to the menu so you can repeatedly drink it, up to 3 times/day. I meant to mention this yesterday, but there's also a somewhat well- known exploit involving healing potions. By default, you can only carry 125 of them, however there are several areas in the game that don't honor that limit. So if you find or wish for extra potions in the dungeon, you can carry more. Also, if you're a member of the gym and get a white water massage, one of the outcomes is having your pouch "bulge with potions". If you do this every day in a game where you're playing unopposed, you can quickly amass several thousand extra potions and become unbeatable. I personally don't like this exploit because it can (and has) discouraged other players from joining the game in which one or more players have abused it.
