My MalwareBytes reports a trojan on the BBSMates website.

Must be their advertising they contracted to uses Trojans to infect
malware advertising?

Maybe.  I don't actually use it.  I noticed links to the site on
several other sites were making my MalwareBytes alert me, and thought
I'd draw people's attention to it.

I heard a few years ago that the site was abandoned. I guess the owner
must have prepaid several years of hosting before abandoning it.

spoke with the owner about 2 months ago. he said he was still
maintaining it and looking for a new forum solution for the site but
he had just been slammed by other things.. not abandoned.

That's good to hear. Maybe he needs to find a Co-SysOp. :)
