BBS with web and irc support?

I’ve been looking around for a BBS that supports a web browser and irc
client like Lynx and iirc or something similar, mainly for connecting
to the net on my older computers. Does anyone know of a good board
with these features? If not I could probably start my own but it would
be more fun on a board with other people.

Most internet BBSes predate the web and probably IRC as well.

How much older?  If they can run Windows 3.1, you can use Winsock  and
PPP.

VADV has an irc client add on, but its via the built in interface from
the add on. I do not believe it has the web browser however. You can
code a TON of things in Mystic, so while I am not aware it has either,
you could probably code it up.

Ok so I couldn’t connect directly to SDF but I did find a BBS that
allows telnet access and was able to get on to SDF through that at a
blazing 300 baud. This is quite a trip!

EleBBS (no longer in development) supported IRC and there are several
IRC doors as well.

There are several that have IRC up and running on their boards
including mine.

My main rig is an Apple //e but I’d love to get a Windows 3.x machine
up and running in the future. Thanks for the info :)
