Mystic BBS on Raspberry PI telnet connection refused

Hey All:

Trying to setup a MysticBBS on a raspberry pi.  I am able to login via
./mystic from cli.  In ./mystic -cfg I changed port to 2323.  When I
try to login via telnet on local host telnet 127.0.0.1 2323 it gives
a connection refused response.  I also have ssh open so I attempted
ssh connection and it was also refused.  raspberian does not have ufw
or gufw installed so no firewall is blocking the connection (not that
it should with a local host connection).  Anyhow stumped, wonder if I
installed it incorrectly or something, just weird I can launch program
via the direction ./mystic but cannot launch via localhost telnet.
Any help is greatly appeciated.

have to run ./mis SERVER to start the server for the BBS...smack head!

Did you restart  MIS after changing the ports? What does mis.log say?

Check if you are listening on that port with netstat.  If not, try
restarting your server application

Looking for a little help. Have mystic install on an Orange pi running
Armbian .. when trying to run ./mystic -l getting command not found.
Any thoughts would be welcome.
