23.   After you create an account  you can uses ssh 2222.  Qodem is a
great terminal program along with Syncterm. Hope to see you on the BBS

You haven't created a new account. You are using the guest account.
You can't do anything with the guest account other than look around.

i typed in new at the login screen as i was prompted to do, and it
took me through a process asking for my name and such. what should i
be doing?

If you don't leave feeback (message) they system automtically deletes
you. I have validated you are retored you account. You should be good
to go

Just fill in the info the best you can. Use an "alias" also called a
"handle" if you don't have one make one up. My "handle" is HusTler.
All I require is a working email address. The other info is whatever
you want. You can look around the the "guest" account but won't have
"full" access to the BBS. Let me know if you having trouble.
