Update! Ranking system for Mystic

Some of you might remember my old post about making a rank system for
Mystic. Well, I'm back!

I've coded a MPL-based script which checks the user at login to see if
they meet a few criteria, and if they meet said criteria it gives them
a higher rank and a accompanying title, as well as (for the higher
ranks) other perks such as access to a few normally hidden exclusive
chat areas, etc. The criteria can be something like the amount of
posts, or for how long they've been registered to the BBS, etc.

Now, what I'm wondering is how I should implement this system. I'm
using SecLVL's to make it work, from SecLVL 10 to 100, resulting in 90
different ranks, and about 164 reserved for the system (1-10 &
101-255). The titles are simply SecLVL descriptions, making it all fit
seamlessly into Mystic's existing system.

What would be a good way to name the ranks, since there is space for
so many?

I was thinking that maybe every jump of +10 would be classified as a
tier, meaning that (for example) rank 35 would classify as a tier 3
rank, with all the individual ranks ranks in 30-39 having their own
special titles and perks.

I plan on starting with making ranks 10-30 and then add more ranks if
the users seem to like the concept. The reason I wanted this system is
that it fuels user engagement, as they get rewarded for being active,
and it also felt like a pretty fun and unique concept in the BBS world
:)

By the way, awkward question but how come there's such a low
comment/view ratio on this subreddit, despite it having so many
members? I'm not just talking about this post, but on most I've read
so far there's been about 80 views and two comments.. I'm just curious

Lots of lurkers I guess.

This looks interesting, I thought about doing something similar with
my Synchronet board, but got stuck in the details - how to assign
karma, what the rewards would be, integrating it with the message
reader mods I use, etc...

Do you have any advice on how I should assign the rank names? The
thing is, there are so many ranks (\~90), it would be hard to give
them all with unique titles =/

Dunno (yet) but since I am installing Mystic right now, if you decide
to release or pass the goods, maybe we can hack it out.

It's not finished yet and contains a lot of debug messages, but in
case you want it I'll send it anyways.
I believe information should be free :3

At this point, I'm still trying to get the theme working. I was able
to get into -cfg, but I can't get anything but a prompt with the -l.
It looks like maybe the default theme doesn't exist.
