Anyone use Bragg.bbs.army.mil bqck in 95-98? reddit / bbs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ncoguide · 2018-08-10 00:37 I was the volunter sysop for the Ft Knox BBS but never went to the Bragg site. I also created and ran the Old Soldier Home BBS and was pretty active in the BBS scene until the web started going mainstream. As more and more of my users were demanding access to email relays to route to more traditional email sites I saw the end to the BBS scene. I created my first military themed site in 1997 and took my BBSs offline. Did you ever use C2MUG? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- NuSkooler · 2018-08-10 05:59 Sounds like a bit of BBSing history that I never even considered. Hope someone else chimes in! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- samalex01 · 2018-08-13 16:40 I'll be honest that sounds very familiar. Was Bragg.bbs.army.mil a telnetable board? During the mid 90's I was very active on MetroBBS (Metropolis Entertainment) and their service had a telnet component. I used to telnet to anything I could just to jump to other boards or services, and this may be one I connected to... or at least one similar to it. I'd have to check my notebook at home to see if I have it listed, I used to write down all sorts of sites I'd find. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TurakamuHG · 2018-08-13 16:43 Yes they did as i used to telnet back in from Seattle once I moved home. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TurakamuHG · 2018-08-13 16:51 Can't say I remember C2MUG. Spent time on local Seattle bbs's before i went in the army, Think I'd connect back through Telegraph hill to hit my friends local Citadel BBS's.
