I've been working on a webgame version of The Pit (V4) that lives at
[royalcity.cc](https://royalcity.cc). I've done my best to keep it as
close as possible to the original game.

Some may not be aware, but V4 of the original game is permanently
locked in demo mode due to lack of source code or a keygen. Doug from
bbsfiles.com allowed me to have the source code for V3, which was
helpful, though the game changed much between versions. I've altered
the odds of the casino games (e.g. One Armed Bandit) to make them more
like those you'd find in a typical casino with some other minor
changes here and there.

The game contains the entire (huge) dataset from the original game,
which I extracted from the binaries with some Python scripts.

Some stuff still needs to be completed. P2P combat isn't done. Most
items too.

I'd love to hear folks' thoughts on it. Thanks!

This is pretty awesome. Is there a way I can link directly to my
'board' and specify it in the URL? So that I could like, link to
https://royalcity.cc/boardname so that users dont have to specify one
each time? I'd love to link to this from my BBS site.

Thanks! It seems like I got it working:
https://royalcity.cc/?board=FOOBAR

When you join a board, it updates the url in your address bar.
