I'm sure a great deal of telnet boards already carry the file. Look
for it on distortion. It's pretty barren; just source code and
compiled libraries. Enjoy.

So when I was a little kid probably about 11 I started setting up
single node Telegard boards, used Renegade, MajorBBS, Spitfire, WWIV,
RoboBBS but my all time favorite was OBV/2 which I believe was a fork
of one called INViSiON/2? Man those were such a cool 'hacker' type BBS
for my pre-teen self, remember how much I had loved ANSi Art and those
two boards came decked out already.

That was off my trusty 386/16 with 1GB and DUAL 10MB MFM hard drives!
I had been running the board for almost two years when I got this
beast machine and previously I had a 286/12 with no HDD just two 3.5HD
drives and I would host Telegard on the A: drive and every night would
load up the download requests for the day (Usually boob pics that took
20-45 minutes to download) and then host the files for the night and
rinse and repeat for several years :)

Man I miss how close geographically everyone used to be, still have
several BBS buddies I talk to still though none seemed willing to sit
through a 4 hour BBS Documentary with me :)

What I don't miss is the phone bills, oh man the phone bills and the
amount of beatings I'd get and I just wouldn't give af and always
thought the couple hours I spent each night dialing long-distance to a
BBS in boston to download fresh tata pics!

Oh man, I remember $300+ phone bills back in the early 90s when I was
a tween. Those were fun days of getting yelled at by my dad.

Thanks for sharing! I spent a decent amount of time "playing" setting
up different boards flavors mostly Renegade and of course OBV/2. I
think I played with Iniquity later on as the scene was pretty much
dried up. You mention you called long distance to Boston. By the time
I convinced my folks to get "call around plus" the scene was pretty
much dried up. Although the 413 was fun!

I don't have a link, but it can be found on a lot of telnet boards.

Great memories of OBV/2. There were some great boards out there
running it. I wish they'd release Vision/X at some point too.
