Hey everyone,

I've recently rediscovered a stash of random adult GIFs that were
passed around during the ages of BBSes and it seems they're very hard
to find these days!

Does anyone still host them? Or have an archive of everything handy?

I have not looked for adult files, but Textfiles has many archives of
CD-ROMs from the BBS era. It's a treasure trove of what SysOps had
available back in the day. So the [Textiles CD-ROM
archive](http://cd.textfiles.com/) might be good place to start.

Cool! There are a few GIFs I've found in some BBS archives. Nice
source of old games too.

Any chance you'd be willingly to post them? Would be interested in
seeing vintage online porn. :)

Ahh, but they don't have anything specifically low-fi like BBS GIFs!

ugh, the days of leaving my terminal program connected for 4 hours
overnight to download a batch of 15 second long animated gifs.

So, I accidentally stumbled upon the Internet Archive when I found the
@gifs_bot Twitter account and, lo and behold, there are CD images of
BBS archives on there!

Go for a dive in much BBS junk!
