Hey YALL Just wanted to share that a few of us play DoorMUD and if you
want a simple MUD you can easily pick up and play and is fun come try
telnet alco.bbs.io:23 and play through the BBS LINK menu (bunch of
bbses connected to the same DoorMUD) Cheers!

if you like mudding you should check out aardwolf, it's actively
maintained, developed. hundereds of players every reboot, pretty good
pvp and many perks and features.

has a specialized mushclient package, and many plugins to enhance
experience.

Still searching for the elusive dial-up MUD I downloaded from some
archive in the 90s.  All through the game it said it was made by
LucasArts Industrial Light and Magic, and it was an LP-style MUD but
with ANSI graphics, and possibly even RIP, but I never had a good
enough computer for that.   Anyway, it's the only standalone BBS/MUD
I'd ever seen.   hehe.
