Anyone knows why ibm437 isn't fully working on android?

there are a couple of apps that claim to support it, all is fine,
colors and everything, except some characters still don't display
properly...
the only 100% working way is to use the web clients (or an app that
seems to use the exact same client), is it a problem with android's
internal translation table or something?
also, anyone knows an android telnet client that supports custom
fonts?
...
I know this place is dead, but still, nobody knows any answers to
these questions...I guess I'm all alone here...

you should probably post on an android forum.
i've used some android terminal programs that fully support cp437
