MysticBBS data format structure reddit / bbs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- denzuko · 2016-05-14 00:34 After playing around with mystic for the past several days and getting basic linux commands(mutt, pppd, elinks) and shell scripts to work as doors (D- menu command) and setting up a web based frontend. I've been wanting to add a few extra utilities to the board. To accomplish this I'm needing to interface directly into mystic's user.dat, security.dat, and history.dat files. Would anyone know what the file structure would be with these files? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- electronicchicken · 2016-05-14 07:06 I just installed the latest version, and found a file called 'records.112' in the docs directory. Looks like all of the information you need is in there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mystic_BBS · 2016-05-15 02:59 Thanks for the help eChicken! If you have any questions about interacting with the data files let me know. I have no idea how much I'll check in here as I've never used Reddit, but I will try to from time to time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- kevinlamonte · 2016-05-16 01:28 g00r00 had it GPL for a time, and there are some copies around. https://github.com/streaps/mysticbbs for example. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- cyberia324 · 2016-10-26 15:27 I just want to point out that there's a PHP library that reads many of the Mystic BBS data files and offers them for use for webpages. I use it for my BBS Wepage at http://cyberia.darktech.org:8080. mysphp14.zip 15K 09/02/2016 [[ mystic php library 1.4/netsuge ]] a set of php functions to access mystic's data files in order to display information like last callers, system stats, node stats oneliners and the user list, bbs lists, message area lists, file area lists, file descriptions on the web. requires mystic 1.12 a31 & web server that supports php orig by netsurge%miserybbs.com updates by Gryphon @ Cyberia BBS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- denzuko · 2016-10-29 03:08 I'm actually writing the utils in golang and node.
