Trying to track down folks from a 90's bbs
reddit / bbs

I was pretty active (as handle Polaris) on a Chicagoland BBS named
"The Whammy Bar" back in the early-mid 90's. I'd love to track down
any of the regular members of the message boards, and, in particular,
the sysop, Guitar.

If anyone on this subreddit happens to know anything about it, please
let me know. I think the board was based out of Elmhurst, if that
helps.

I'll just leave this here:

I'd actually be curious what became of Ken "Guitar" as well. He was a
nice guy as I recall, and the BBS was the go to place for me to get
demos, various tracker files, etc.

That's right, Ken. At least that's something to start working with.
Thanks!

caught up with the sysop of hacker's haven and some fellow hacker
group members a few years ago from thier linkedin profile.Though
Didn't hurt being an member of the board back in the day.

But just saying fb isn't the only place to cyberstalk and find us grey
beard boarders. A lot of us are industry leaders now and some of us
still have fidonet, usenet, and sdf accounts.
