I just get a Java error message here, any tips? I haven't been on a
BBS since probably 1990 so maybe I'm a little rusty...:)

Edit: And thank you!

Use telnet.

In Windows go to command prompt and type **telnet
onixbbs.servebbs.com**. Alternatively you can use a separate telnet
client like [SyncTERM](http://syncterm.bbsdev.net/) or
[PuTTY](http://www.putty.org/).

I believe on Windows 7 the native telnet client is disabled by
default. To enable, go to CONTROL PANEL > PROGRAMS > PROGRAMS AND
FEATURES > TURN WINDOWS FEATURES ON OR OFF. Scroll down to TELNET
CLIENT and make sure it's checked.

I discovered the Telnet software (forget the name Telenet?), and
taught myself "SALT" scripting (well just the basics) and made insta-
kill shortcut keys...
yeah it was sooo much fun.

edit removed gold and planets, that refered to another game galactic
empire.

Yes you HAD to have the macros set up to play that game.
