Looking for some BBS's

Hi, I've been messing around with telnet working on getting my cisco
cert. and thought it would be cool to find some active bbs's.

The only one i've heard of so far is ptt.cc but I need to get the
charecterset working in my terminal, and after that point I'm not even
sure if it's very english-friendly.

What are the most popular english bbs's? Hell, even plug your own.

Are BBS's always interacted with in the plaintext or is there a secure
client, like ssh or something?

You can access mine through flash-telnet by [surfing
here.](http://linenoisebbs.istmein.de/ftelnet.ssjs)

Otherwise, you can access it by using an ANSI-BBS capable terminal
program and connecting to:

linenoisebbs.istmein.de:4242

You can putty into it, but putty won't display the ANSI correctly.  I
personally use ZOC in Windows.  I haven't dug up a client for Linux
yet.

[my bbs](http://bbs.superglobalmegacorp.com/) is available over telnet
at bbs.superglobalmegacorp.com (216.231.130.102).  It's running OS/2
inside of Qemu.. I mostly have old programming stuff from the 1990's
on there, with some other fun stuff.  Well fun for me.

If you want, I have a SIMH Vax running 4.3BSD Uwisc... I can give you
access if you want, just PM me.

I've used syncterm in osx and windows and im almost certain it also
exists for linux
