Thomas E. Dickey on NetBSD curses reddit / BSD ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Daemmerung · 2020-04-18 15:22 I am reading one half of a slapfight, it seems. Why is this interesting? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BumpitySnook · 2020-04-18 19:00 The author is an expert on NetBSD curses describing some of the design decisions made. It's interesting if you're interested in the low level details of things like `curses`. I don't think it's as useless as you make it out to be. The other "half," which this is in response to, is linked at the beginning of the piece, if you would like that additional context. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- FUZxxl · 2020-04-19 00:25 I mainly recall Thomas Dickey as being a bit of an asshole on Wikipedia. He has a very specific view of things and everything that contradicts this view is removed and scrutinised to an absurd standard.
