In one week I've published 40+ stories of people who run BSD reddit / BSD ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zolotarevroman · 2018-08-13 18:09 DM me to share your BSD story. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- equalunique · 2018-08-13 18:23 You twitter has been a joy to follow. Good to see you here on Reddit too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zolotarevroman · 2018-08-13 18:59 Thanks :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- LinuxLeafFan · 2018-08-16 19:24 This is pretty neat. I'm working my way though the list. Things I learned: * There's a lot of openbsd users * There's a lot of programmers that use *bsd to get their work done * There's not a lot of perspective on people using BSD for actual commercial workloads. I'm certain this must *actually* happen but from what I've had time to check out, there was only one person doing so (read about 30). Anyone else running servers were just hobbiests. For me personally, I'm very interested in commercial installations of bsd outside of Netflix, Playstation and macOS components and why. If there are people out there who are using bsd in their day to day *bigger than* 'my dad's car business needed a mail server', I'd be interested in hearing about it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zolotarevroman · 2018-08-16 20:59 Yes, people run BSD for large scale projects too. :) [https://www.bsdjobs.com/companies.html](https://www.bsdjobs.com/compa nies.html) Also: [https://twitter.com/romanzolotarev/status/996614497585557505](https:/ /twitter.com/romanzolotarev/status/996614497585557505) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zolotarevroman · 2018-08-17 07:33 [https://twitter.com/romanzolotarev/status/1030345831751270400](https: //twitter.com/romanzolotarev/status/1030345831751270400) let's check in a week ;)
