People who run BSD: A series of BSD user interviews reddit / BSD ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zolotarevroman · 2018-08-08 19:17 I’m starting a series of BSD user interviews to help beginners (mostly developers and system administrators) to discover BSD operating systems and related projects. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ahhyes · 2018-08-09 02:46 These are nice to read, thanks for doing them. Edit: Now I want to install OpenBSD! 😅 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nixcraft · 2018-08-09 03:26 Yup nice read. Glad list is growing fast ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zolotarevroman · 2018-08-09 07:33 That's my goal! Thanks for trying OpenBSD: https://www.romanzolotarev.com/openbsd/ Ping me if you need my help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zolotarevroman · 2018-08-09 07:34 I'm glad you like it. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ahhyes · 2018-08-09 14:24 Thanks. I read through all your articles. I’ve installed it in a VM before, and installing is very easy - just press enter! - but never did much more than that. I recently ordered a new (to me) T450s, and think I’m going to go OpenBSD instead of my usual Arch Linux. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zolotarevroman · 2018-08-09 14:41 Thank you for reading. Ping me if you need any help with OpenBSD. Ready to share your story? DM me ---------------------------------------------------------------------- useunix · 2018-08-21 06:21 This is an interesting project, I am glad people like you are still around these days. I have been using FreeBSD for the past 11 years, mostly for NAS/ WebServer/ PHP Server/ routing/ GW/ Firewall/ VPN in SOHO. I also like to try NetBSD on embedded hardware and development boards, and I have done a full blown (unofficial) port of Gentoo and AlpineLinux 3.7 aarch64 for the RaspberryPI 3, plus I have one for the Odroid C1+ in the making. Currently I am working as SAN and NAS Technical Support Engineer for NetApp. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zolotarevroman · 2018-08-21 07:01 Thank you. I'm glad you like the stories. Stay tuned. More stories are coming :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- grahamperrin · 2019-01-26 10:22 Thanks!
