[Question] Keyboard Layouts for DragonFly BSD reddit / BSD ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ApocalypseOfLlamas · 2018-08-06 20:00 As I've got some time free I thought I'd try out BSD, specifically DragonFly BSD although I'm not particularly wedded to it. In the post- install configuration stage when selecting a keyboard layout, I see a couple of uk keyboards: uk.cp850-ctrl.kbd uk.cp850.kbd uk.iso-ctrl.kbd uk.iso.kbd A quick google for cp850 gave me [this](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_page_850) Wikipedia page, and I believe it'd be the layout I want (that naively being the keyboard `loadkeys uk` gives on Linux). But I'm still left with the question of what the difference between the cp850 and cp850-ctrl layouts are. Anyone able to give advice? Cheers. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- trevman · 2018-08-06 20:34 If you diff the files: it looks like the -ctrl files map Capslock to LCTRL. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ApocalypseOfLlamas · 2018-08-06 20:57 Ah, thank you :). I was logged in as the installer user rather than root, so didn't think to use diff. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- trevman · 2018-08-06 21:20 No problem! Good luck!
