@MarkWutka @CodingItWrong @khinsen I currently am doing Advent of Code
in elisp leaning heavily on the cl compatibility package (see daily
Android tablet screenshots). At work I also use the loop macro
combined with emacs-specific functions to analyze output and interact
with other systems (e.g. the mainframe) via comint. The vast majority
of the functions I write can run in either emacs or common lisp, so my
experience of elisp is decidedly more positive than your post
suggests.
