Bart ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zath · 2019-10-30 16:21 Ok, thanks Bart. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thaddy · 2019-10-30 16:51 @Zath Why do you want live bindings? Just because Delphi has them? (not very sucessful) It is not that difficult to implement with e.g. helpers. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zath · 2019-10-31 00:31 @Thaddy I watched a video on youtube about Delphi's version and liked some of it's capabilities and wanted to try and learn it using my preferred pascal IDE. No particular reason apart from that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tr_escape · 2019-10-31 08:46 Actually I used in XE3 but there is no another advance for programmers. I prefer ":=" or some event helping. Before my job related to some SCADA softwares like as Intouch or old AIMAX or similar for non-programmers but who know control and automation it can be use.  But I ensure you at the end of the day you will touch some scripts etc. Also some another programming languages gives similar option like as Android Kotlin's databinding. In Delphi or lazarus/fpc I prefer coding. By the way if you interest take a look for pascalscada package ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2019-10-31 09:14 I think there are two reasons why FPC doesn't have it: - it relies on extended RTTI which was introduced in D2010 or DXE2 - it comes originally not from VCL but from the Firemonkey side, which is a library FPC/Lazarus don't support at all since Lazarus also uses VCL compatible LCL on non Windows (*) something Borland/Embacadero/Idera said was not possible.
