loaded file not in project. lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mangakissa · 2016-11-22 08:15 I think it's a bug, but i'm not really sure. Every time I create a new form/unit the file will be placed in the uses section of the project file (lpr). But when I load a extended file to a project with project inspector, the direcory will be put in searchpath, but the file itself is not placed in the uses section of lpr. That's strange, because all files has to be put there. The loaded file will not compiled to the project. Lazarus 1.6.2 / fpc 3.0 Windows ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Eugene Loza · 2016-11-22 09:16 Maybe, you've forgotten to "add" it to the project? You can load as many files as you wish to the editor window but they aren't automatically added to the project. I.e. you e.g. use Project > Project Inspector > Add... If you need automatically adding the unit to uses section, you might want to make sure if in Project Options "Main unit has Uses section containing all units of project" is checked. see here http://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,34521.msg 226328.html#msg226328 P.S. I don't like this feature, therefore I disabled it So I'm not sure how it works with newly added (but not created) units. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mangakissa · 2016-11-22 14:35 No, I'm not forgotten it. The "Main unit has Uses section containing all units of project" is checked. That's why it's strange.
