Deleting empty functions on compile lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BLL · 2016-06-19 14:01 Hi, Having come to lazarus from CBuilder, there are 2 things I would like to know: 1). On CBuilder, when you compiled the .ppp file, any functions that were empty were deleted along with their prototype. Can lazarus do the same? I have looked through all the options and haven't seen it. 2). On the RUN menu, there is Run to Cursor, which I used a lot on CBuilder. However, it is ALWAYS greyed out - why and can it be enabled? Thanks Brian ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Windsurfer · 2016-06-19 15:29 There is an option to warn about empty procedures in the IDE under Tools|Options. If you delete a procedure, at compile time the empty prototype will flag an error, and on the following compile you will be asked if other files need cleaning up. Not so slick, but cautious. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- howardpc · 2016-06-19 16:25 Better is the specific option in IDE Options on the Editor, Completion and Hints page. It is the first checkbox at the top (unchecked in the picture). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BLL · 2016-06-25 09:39 Hi both For some reason, I didn't get notified of your replies even though notify was set! The first method didn't do anything with empty ones, but the second worked fine. Thanks Brian
