[Solved]Moved components disappear lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ruptor · 2016-03-31 23:59 My application has one form but I wanted to change it to multiple pages so I expanded the form added a tpagecontrol and created two pages. The next step was to move all my components from the main form to the first page so I selected everything and dragged the lot on to the first page but none of the components appeared they remained in the dot format. I waited in case it was taking a long time but nothing changed so I tried to move the selected block back to the main form. Only some of the components appeared the rest are just gone. I am probably doing something stupid or perhaps not allowed to do so could someone explain what happened and point me in the right direction to achieve my goal. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- balazsszekely · 2016-04-01 04:13 There was a copy/paste(TPageControl) issue recently, I believe @Juha fixed it. You should run a few test with Lazarus trunk. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JuhaManninen · 2016-04-01 09:21 Quote from: GetMem on April 01, 2016, 06:13:19 amThere was a copy/paste(TPageControl) issue recently, I believe @Juha fixed it. You should run a few test with Lazarus trunk. It was this old issue:   http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=24386 The "fix" is rather a hack and prevents TabSheets from being copied. Copying TPageControl is also prevented with GTK2. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ruptor · 2016-04-01 09:58 Ok how can I achieve my goal can I do it manually or is it quicker to start a new project with pages? Starting again I can understand so probably this is the route I will take since expert solutions are usually too complicated for me. I am just an amateur High level programmer and had I known how to use pages when I started the code I would have used them. All I need to do is get the components that are on the one form to a page of a multiple page set up. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ruptor · 2016-04-01 10:05 Oh! I read the bug report and it gives the solution as starting again. I can do that. Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JuhaManninen · 2016-04-01 10:41 Quote from: Ruptor on April 01, 2016, 12:05:18 pmOh!
