OSX and New Editor

There is something broken in the new editor.  After you get a number
of edits in a file and the "history" bar starts to be come a dominate
feature on the right hand side of the window the real scrollbar starts
to get lost.  If you try to scroll with the mouse wheel or the
grabbing the scroll bar the file will "jump" to various parts of the
file and becomes impossible to use.  If you use the keyboard it seems
to work correctly.  Close Lazarus to "clear the edits" and reopen will
make it better until you make a number of edits again.

Has anyone else seen this?  Is there a way to turn off the "history"
on the right side in the new editor?

I'm using Lazarus 1.6 on El Capitan, MacBook Pro 15 Retina, and I
don't think I've had that issue, scrolling and whatnot works just fine
for me.
