Problem with keyboard (Lazarus 1.2.6 on Raspberry PI2) lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- washburn_it · 2016-03-01 16:41 Hi, I have an annoying problem with pressing some keys on the keyboard when inside the IDE: strangely it seems that not all keys are recognized. The current version of Lazarus is 1.2.6 on a Raspberry PI2. For example, if I press CAPS-LOCK I would expect all typed keys written with capital letters but instead no letter appears on the screen and the cursor remains at the same place blinking. If I press "ALT GR+[" nothing happens so I have to open another program (Text Editor for example), type the "[" on the other program window and then copy-and-paste in the Lazarus IDE. The problem appears only on Lazarus "Source Editor" window, if I activate CAPS-LOCK and type on the "Object Inspector" window (for example into the "caption" textbox of a TLabel) the capital letters appear as any other character on the keyboard. Is it a bug of the version 1.2.6 ? Or is it just a setting somewhere in the editor? Thank you, regards. Use raspi-config to help. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- washburn_it · 2016-03-09 15:18 Thanks for the reply but the keyboard is set to "italian" (I'm italian) and every key is shown in the other programs (Python editor, Leafpad etc.). Today happened another strange thing: I had 3 source file (.pas) opened of the same project and only in one of them the keyboard seemed disconnected. I mean that pressing any key, no character or symbol was visible in the editor window and the cursor blinked but didn't move. I had to close the project, replace the file ".pas" from a backup I had, re-open the project and the keyboard started to "write" again. It's really a weird problem... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2016-03-09 15:21 No idea about it then. Could be related to the backend toolkit. As usual, if GTK doesn't work, try QT. At least Lazarus on Linux has those two stable and switchable backends.
