Persistent code folding lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- howardpc · 2015-04-14 21:53 I find the code folding functionality one of the best recent enhancements to the editor. Thank you Martin. Is it possible currently to fold a list of enums? If not, can this be a feature request? Also, where is the setting for folded layouts to be restored at the next editing session, or is this not currently possible? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2015-04-14 22:38 "Project Options" > Session > Save fold info This affects folds of pascal keywords. You can also select any lines of text and fold them (hide them). But this kind of fold is currently not stored in the session. In Tools > Options > Code Folding you can select which pascal keywords can be folded. Enums are not in the list. That would basically be like any brackets, in declaration. Code: [Select]const a = (2  * 3 + 1); I understand that long enums, one per line are on the whislist. Same for array constants. Currently only helps to either: - {%region}  {%endregion} - give them a "type" block of their own. - fold by selection / not persistent. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2015-04-14 22:45 As for feature request, I cant stop you to request. But at the moment I am not sure how likely this is. It depends on how much a burden this generates on the highlighters parsing. IMHO, if folding selected lines becomes persistent, that is close to solving it. Yet I have tons of things on my list that do have (and will keep) a higher priority ---------------------------------------------------------------------- howardpc · 2015-04-14 22:56 Ok, thanks for those suggestions and explanations.
