Two different IDE Options?

I have Lazarus v1.2.4 installed on two different machines.  As far as
I know, I installed them the same way.

STILL having difficulty with the anchoring of the individual
windows...  Using machine#2, to study a bit, I noticed that the
Tools->Options->Environment->Window displayed "Window positions" below
the five check boxes.  Said self:  "GREAT!  I'll use these as a
guide!"  When I get back home to Machine #1, I traverse to 
Tools->Options->Environment->Window ...and...nothing below the five
boxes!! 

What did I do different in the installs which gave me different
options in the IDE features?
