[Solved] Lock components while designing a form lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JSN · 2014-09-15 08:21 If this has been addressed previously, I can't find the topic through Search. Is there a way to "lock" components while editing a form in the IDE? Once in a while, when selecting a component, it moves, and I have to tweak it back into place. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- howardpc · 2014-09-15 08:35 One way is to use anchors (anchor the control to the side(s) of the form, or to another control), and use BorderSpacing properties to position it where you want, rather than setting positions manually by dropping and leaving the component to move freely if touched inadvertently when working in the Form Designer. Lazarus provides quite powerful layout properties for controls, maybe you need to explore them further. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JSN · 2014-09-15 09:48 That is one way to do it, and not what I had in mind. Delphi has a "Lock" feature that locks all components on a form (and then can be "unlocked"). What you have suggested is way beyond what I was looking for. As far as the legacy Anchors for components, I understand how that works. Thank you, HowardPC.
