Is any documentation, Experts or simple examples? It is standalone DLL or I must compile each Lazarus IDE? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Cyrax · 2014-02-19 12:34 There is no support for dynamic packages so you need to recompile Lazarus whenever you install package. Lazarus IDE experts are packages. See wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Extending_the_IDE ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Borneq · 2014-02-19 12:57 How debug Lazarus Experts? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Cyrax · 2014-02-19 13:30 You need two Lazarus installations. First is used to compile and run/debug second. Also you need two different configuration directories. Use --primary-config-path parameter to launch and debug second instance of Lazarus. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2014-02-19 14:29 You can debug with a single install. - Make a backup of lazarus.exe (and maybe your conf, but the exe is the important bit). Do not relay on the automatic backup. - Recompile the IDE with your expert. BUT do NOT restart. - open project: ide/lazarus.lpi - F9 Repeat that as often as needed, but: - Do NOT restart the IDE, or you will be running the one with your expert (fine if it does not crash) - Look for lazarus.new.exe after compile. If it is there, then you will debug the wrong file. Exit the IDE, replace the lazarus.exe by backup. Look for all gdb running and kill them. Delete the new.exe, and start over again
