IDE Problem lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- liewald · 2013-12-09 12:05 OS linux opensuse 11.4 64 bit Lazarus 1.0.14 r43447 FPC 2.6.2 x86_64-linux-gtk 2 Hi I'm having a problem saving and opening files.  If I just create a standard app and save it I cant reopen it.  I get the following error on the lpi file : "The file /root/Lazarus_Projects/1000G/Extract_Range_Dose /ranges.lpi does not look like a lpi file." and if I try and open the lpr then I get "Unable to read file "/root/Lazarus_Projects/1000G/Extract_Range_Dose /ranges.lpr"!" these files are in my usual root folder and the permissions are correct and I can easily open them in any standard editor and they look OK I can also read files from previous ide versions without a problem Any Ideas? Dave ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2013-12-09 12:13 The lpi should contain well formed xml, starting with Code: [Select]   ... Check that it does, if not look in the backup folder for one that does. Run lazarus from console/shell/bash/.., and check if there are additional messages. Do you run lazarus as root, or did you change permissions, or owner of the file(s)? If the latter, then did you also permit access to the folder(s)? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- liewald · 2013-12-09 14:53 XML l;ooks OK and I'm running as root trying to debug! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2013-12-09 15:04 Code: [Select]"The file /root/Lazarus_Projects/1000G/Extract_Range_Dose /ranges.lpi does not look like a lpi file." Is that a copy and paste, or is there a space after ...Rang_Dose ? Maybe that is where it trips. *If* so, report on mantis (or try 1.2 RC) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- liewald · 2013-12-09 15:08 Weoll Spotted! Yup it was the space!
