Cloned source editor windows that don't close anymore lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2013-05-28 22:11 If I close a cloned window and close Lazarus, this is not saved for the next session. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2013-05-28 22:21 trunk or fixes? Any docking-mgr? Works fine for me. Trunk, no docking. Are other session change saved (e.g last tab, current cursor pos etc? Or enable asking "ask before saving project session" (Env opts: Desktop), so you know if the IDE wants to save them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2013-05-28 23:12 I have just downloaded Lazarus 1.1 (Lazarus 1.1 r40379 FPC 2.6.1 i386-win32-win32/win64) and tried. The problem is still there. IDE does not ask before closing when I open them and they stay still there until I choose Close Window. Then IDE asks for saving session and I choose OK. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2013-05-28 23:25 You do open last praject at start, and you do have a project open, that is saved to disk? (rather than opening a new (not yet saved/empty) project? No dock mgr? Are units shown in the 2nd editor? btv, you save sessien where< lpi, lps (project folder), lps (global folder) does the session info in the lpi/s change ? (diff?) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2013-05-28 23:49 I don't open last project. I open a project and don't save it to disk before closing Lazarus (I don't edit it). No dock manager, I have just uninstalled it. The unit shown on the second editor is the same that I opened before. I don't know where session is saved. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2013-05-29 06:08 I still cant reproduce it. You said you upgraded to trunk, so it is fixes too? Then it has happened for longer already, or started recently? What does it show in Project options/session? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2013-05-29 11:13 Attached. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2013-05-29 11:44 Ok same here... I am at loss what it could be. I'll be away for a while, so I wont be able to dig into this.  You could ask on the mail list, or report a bug. (Hoping some one can reproduce) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2013-05-29 21:28 Seen the report, you want to add all the info from here. e.g confirm if it happens when open a saved project, or only when starting the IDE with a new project. Otherwise, likelihood is that no one can reproduce, and it will never be fixed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2013-06-18 15:35 I have added a note to the bug report. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2013-06-18 17:49 I tried those steps. But it worked here. I even created a new project (application) saved it, restarted the IDE (which opened the project again), then did your steps: - clone - close ide, no save - start IDE (project is loaded, one window) Must be some other setting. Please also upload the LPS file of the project (before you start the IDE, and load the project) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2013-06-18 18:14 I do can close this second Editor window by: 1) Closing it. 2) Going to normal Editor and move to another file on it, in order to make SaveAll icon highlight. 3) Then Saving All. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2013-06-18 18:19 Quote from: typo on June 18, 2013, 08:14:27 pmI do can close this second Editor window by: 1) Closing it. 2) Going to normal Editor and move to another file on it, in order to make SaveAll icon highlight. 3) Then Saving All. That is all fine, (You can even get the "save all" by changing tabs). But I do not get the unwanted 2nd window at all. So I can not debug it...
