W7 - 64 bit - SourceEditor scrolled horiz on start lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2012-10-11 20:23 From http://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,18538.msg1047 71.html#msg104771 Quote from: miquelmatas on October 11, 2012, 07:27:09 pmWhen I load Lazarus 1.02, Source editor text always begin some colums to the left... http://extintorespalacios.com/video/Video_2012-10-11_213113.wmv Tested with Vista 32 bit and XP 64 bit. Works fine. This is related to the order of Handle creation and events fired. So it may be win 7 specific. (Maybe Vista 2, I have aero disabled. Will try that later). In order to reproduce, one needs the caret to be close to the right edge of the editor, when it is closed. If the caret is all to the left, the issue should not happen. In order to save the caret pos, one must ensuru the session is saved (e.g. change between tabs) ---------------- To be sure: From your description I assume, you did run 1.0 on the same machine before? And it did not happen then? Can you test with 1.0 again? (making sure the caret is close to the right edge (and will still be there after restart). In any case please report as a bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2012-10-11 20:33 I just re-watched the video. It is not the event order thingy. Look at the status bar. The caret is at line 12 column **112** If the Editor opens, it scrolls to bring the caret in the visible area. (Though I did not actually see the caret in the video, is that the video or is it really not there?) Maybe you saved the project with a session for this caret pos? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- miquelmatas · 2012-10-11 20:47 Created a new project and now it runs as expected... Thanks very much. Cheers, Miquel. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2012-10-11 20:51 If it happens in any other project, just place the caret to a better place. Then switch between tabs, or edit the file: that will mark the session as modified. Save the project (or close it) That will save the session, and the caret will be remembered at the new location.
