r36170: Scrolling doesn't work in source editor lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2012-03-23 14:34 Before I post it in the bugtracker, could anybody confirm that scrolling in source editor doesn't work for Lazarus r36170, i386-win32 win32/64 widgetset. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2012-03-23 15:36 I am on 36171 and it works well for (me 32 bit  win vista) - Make sure you compiled clean - If persists, send editoroptions.xml How do you scroll / attempt to? - scrollbar drag - scrollbar arrow - scrollbar click above/below slider (page) - wheel (no shift/ctrl) - keyboard ctrl-up/down - keyboard move caret out of screen What means not scroll? - the text does not move? - the slider on the scrollbar does not move - both ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2012-03-23 16:53 Quote- Make sure you compiled clean - If persists, send editoroptions.xmlDone. QuoteHow do you scroll / attempt to? - scrollbar drag - scrollbar arrow - scrollbar click above/below slider (page) - wheel (no shift/ctrl) - keyboard ctrl-up/down - keyboard move caret out of screenThe one that doesn't work is mouse wheel, with or without shift/ctrl, sorry for the unclear term QuoteWhat means not scroll? - the text does not move? - the slider on the scrollbar does not move - bothBoth ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2012-03-23 17:42 Ok, found Mouse wheel in now part of mouse config (as it allows different scroll speed and zoom) Your using a custom setting, and that does not contain the wheel config. I am not sure if it will be practical to fix that in the IDE (to late now, as the config did not get a version when that changed, so I the IDE will not know if your conf is from before orl after that change) I can have a look at fixing your conf. May I ask what special settings you needed? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2012-03-23 17:51 Attached, with wheel actions added ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2012-03-24 00:17 Thank you, Martin. It works now I don't need any special settings, just the standard one. Anyway, this could be a problem when upgrading, should the IDE detect whether the corresponding node exists in the xml or not and try to add the default value if it's missing? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2012-03-24 00:35 If you had/have no special settings, then you should reset to the none advanced mouse settings. (and adjust them if needed) This only happens if you used the advanced mouse settings. Very few people have. But yes I realized the problem. I am still investigating the options...
