F1 gets "Help Not Found" lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Possum · 2011-10-22 13:58 Hi When I press F1 I get a message Help not Found. NO help found for D:\***** How can I fix this? Thank you ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2011-10-22 18:39 Where is the caret position when you press F1? F1 is implemented as context sensitive help instead of general help, it would look for documentation for token under the caret. That "Help not found" would be shown when the help for corresponding token is... well... not found. Also, please ensure you have the help files under $(LazarusDir)\docs\html. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Troodon · 2011-10-23 00:58 I think he means that if you install Lazarus, open a project, place the caret on a keyword and then hit F1 you do not get the help window for that item. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Possum · 2011-10-23 07:04 QuoteI think he means that if you install Lazarus, open a project, place the caret on a keyword and then hit F1 you do not get the help window for that item.  Yes that how it is.. Also when I open Lazarus I get 2 Dialog boxes Unable to open package " cgiLazUnable to open package  "CGILazIDE Both these problem persist even when I re-install Lazarus.. As always many thx ---------------------------------------------------------------------- howardpc · 2011-10-23 12:00 QuoteAlso when I open Lazarus I get 2 Dialog boxes     Unable to open package " cgiLaz     Unable to open package  "CGILazIDE Both these problem persist even when I re-install Lazarus.. This most likely arises because you have leftover files from an earlier installation. Close Lazarus and delete the primary lazarus config folder. In a Win7 setup on drive D: it would be D:\Users\username\AppData\Local\lazarus Then restart Lazarus, and that should clear the package problem. Any needed config files are recreated automatically by Lazarus. Howard ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Possum · 2011-10-23 13:11 Found and Deleted QuoteD:\Users\username\AppData\Local\lazarus Now there are no Errors reported when I start Lazarus. thx I still don't have context help.
