Why do the mouse edit commands stop working?

At random (or so it seems) times the mouse context menu Cut, Copy, and
Paste stop working and the IDE must be restarted for them to work
again.

The keyboard edit commands continue to function.

Sounds like GTK2.

there is an issue (or 2) in gtk2. afaik they are already in mantis.

a) Gtk2 sometimes screws the focus
b) The menu get's enabled/disabled, when the menu is opened by the
mouse. This is supposed to trigger an event. under gtk2 that may
sometimes be missing.

There was some fancy trick, if you swtiched tabs in combination with
focusing/unfocusing the main-ide-bar and triggering the menu.

I can't really remember what it was... Sorry.
