In Editor, Copy, Cut options are disabled all of a sudden. lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Elmug · 2011-08-07 02:29 Dear forum people, This is not the first time that after compiling shows error messages, the editor options to edit or cut are disabled.. They are readable but in discolored text. Now I wonder why this is so. If close Lazarus and start again, the options are OK. I am not even sure if I clicked on an option that does that. So, is there such an option? Any explanations and what to do? Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- eny · 2011-08-07 11:23 Please explain what you are trying to accomplish, what steps you took and what exactly didn't work. But there have been some instances in which that function was disabled, and what I am doing by posting, is to see if this has happened to others, or if someone knows what triggers that condition. It is very difficult to say "when" that happens because when I went to do "copy" it was blocked as described, while everything was normal, as usual. If I find out more on this, I'll report back. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2011-08-15 00:30 if you are using gtk2, there is or at least was a known bug. i don't know what the status is. The menu normally triggers onclick, when it opens, and then it checks, if a selection exists, and enables/disables that entry. Apparently under gtk2 this did not always happen (shotcuts like ctrl-c) would still work. As for any other widgetset, I have not heard of anything.
