Just ensure bin/$FPCTARGET is in your path. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mando · 2010-11-16 07:47 Hello: Can you explain the procedure in detail? thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2010-11-16 08:09 QuoteCan you explain the procedure in detail? In Win XP, right click My Computer->Properties->Advanced->Environment Variables. In system variables (or user if you don't want other users use it), look for Path, edit and add fpc's bin/$FPCTARGET directory. With default installation, it should be C:\lazarus\fpc\bin\i386-win32. Now open command prompt, cd to lazarus directory, and type: make clean all ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ivan17 · 2010-11-16 12:52 i'd leave that as a last resort. having installed lazarus PLENTY of times, i've seen them all - can't create an event by double clicking the button / can't find this unit / can't find that unit... and i've never needed to rebuild lazarus over that. just fix the paths if needed and rescan. quit and restart lazarus just in case. done. check the numbers in fpc dir  (c:\lazarus\fpc\2.#.#\...) you may have an old version there. and make sure that the paths in options dialog start with C:\lazarus, not c:\lazarus
